Easy Mac?

December 6th, 2008  |  Published in Featured, My Life  |  12 Comments

I was hungry tonight after work, so I thought I would make some easy mac. I borrowed a bowl from my roommate, put the noodles in, and filled it with water. I went down into the basement to put it in the microwave, set it for four minutes and walked away. When it was done, I walked back to the microwave and pulled out the bowl that was the same temperature as it was four minutes before. How could the only microwave in the dorm be broken? Because I was hungry, I found another way to make the mac and cheese. I filled the bowl with some hot water, waited a couple minutes, drained the water, and repeated that process again. After a few more minutes, I had a nice luke-warm bowl of “easy” mac.

next time don’t use the kitchen timer button. it doesn’t actually heat anything it just keeps time. you should use the set the power to high and then set it to four minutes, it will work like a charm every time.

i would have built a fire…possibly even used the microwave as fire wood…

lol You find creative ways to make all kinds of stuff in the dorms. I think Melford, or Weeks girls dorm have “Hot Pot” cooking contests. lol Since besides the microwave, that is the only acceptable item there to cook anything, it is AMAZING what those girls come up with! lol Good job figuring out how to make your mac and cheese! lol

One of my friend suggested getting his coffee pot to heat up the water, but i was too lazy to go up to the second floor at 1:30 in the morning

i could do my way downstairs though, and plus if it did with the coffee pot, i wouldn’t have as much to blog about

that would have been a very interesting post to read! although after pouring water over the mac and cheese so many times I think one trip upstairs would have been much easier! :)
